Two parallel current-carrying copper wires are attracted to each other. Why? Copper wires are not magnets and do not have magnetic poles.
Why do currents in the same direction attract each other and currents in opposite directions repel each other?
Is magnetism a loop electrostatic force brought about by the winding current? Could the magnetic poles on a magnet be concentric rings of electric dipoles?
