Sunlight facts

Sunlight is not photons from the Sun hitting the Earth. Sunlight is oscillating electricity on the Earth caused by oscillating atoms on the Sun in the Sun-Earth direction.

Sunlight from the Earth coexists with the atoms on the Earth facing the Sun. Sunlight cannot escape or radiate into space.

Sunlight moves westward around the Earth, generating weak currents that produce auroras, causing the compass to point north, creating an imaginary magnetic field of the Earth, causing periodic thermal expansion of the Earth's crust, moving the coast through the oceans, and creating the illusion that the Moon's gravity causes tides.
