No matter how advance in technology there is a limitation in physics laws. We only can travel in space at a limited speed, we only can carry limited life supply.             

Travel to the nearest star in any spacecraft is impossible. Send a message to the nearest star is also impossible, no matter how big antenna we use, the signals will be too weak to detect in such distance.

Therefore even advanced life forms are existing in every star system, we will never find or communicate with them.

We are alone in the universe, we are bounded in our solar system. Forever.
